tales of symphonia

Good points: no loading times, a nice solid storyline, variety of enemies, variety of moves, and plenty of customization options.

Bad points: no enough anime cutscenes, easy to get stuck, complicated combos , annoying mini-games, and easy to lose where you are supposed to go.

storyline: you start off on a world regeneration journey unlocking seals and fighting the desians so that the chosen can become a angel in the body off martel and restore the flow of mana to sylvavrant.

overview: a game that surprisingly annoying for about the first hour till you start to understand what are you doing and the controls but after you get past that point the controls and storyline are very easy to pick up. the equip and item system can be learned by any one because of it’s straightfowardness which is nice because they didn’t spend all their time on complicating something that can be easily learned. there is a constant flow of new enemies which keep the game fun to level up in. the towns are very well built which makes it is hard to lose track of yourself among the crowds. with lots of places to explore it makes it seem like a bigger world than it actaully is and with the two-leveled world is very nice and it also helps in making the world seem even bigger than you originally thought. the skills and moves system always keeps the action just a little more than hack and slash like alot of RPGs. a constant amount of new allies make it even funner with it seem impossible to master all the moves. the EX Skill ,which makes use of stones called EX Gems, which are different levels, makes lots of different combos for spells guarding and attacking. the U. attack system which makes use of constant attacks creates a union attack between you and one of your allies. the cooking system makes it so you can cook over 20 dishes which you have a chance of succeeding and failing, keeps your health up for most of the journey and it is much cheaper than most items. the titles system makes it so you can have a title any of your charaters that can  strenghthen or weaken your stats. the elaborate experience system is very well designed so itisn’t to hard to level up; but it isn’t easy either and it keeps it so the story is challenging but not impossible either. the synopsis is very nice for it keeps a outline of what you should be doing. the graphics are very good for it’s cartoony appearance but they could’ve worked harder on where you can and cannot walk and the sound is very accurate except for a few annoying exceptions that can be easily ignored and the voices didn’t leave much to be desired which actaully surprised me. i myself think this is a nice RPG compared to what is out there in the genre ,but there are to many RPGs for it to distingish itself.

summary: if you like RPGs you’ll probably love it and most people who actaully read the conversations of characters will be able to play it and have fun also. it does have a few glitches that will get you stuck so you cannot progress and the mini-games are annoying and worthless but it is a game to get if you are looking for a game in this genre.
